I may have to darken them a shade or three

The Hawtness Hisself

After I kicked my faithful fifty-something gal-friend to the curb, I knew I needed some image work to make me marketable on the eSexualPredator sites.

It’s part of that larger health kick wherein sixty is the new fifty-seven …

… and change.

I’ve got the last great stash of foot long Grizzly hackles in captivity, and figured now that you lads have cashed yours in for a new rod or boat, I’ll leverage them hoping they’ll add a hint of vulnerable-fetching to my more traditional stern and taciturn.

The UPS man was mostly speechless. I could tell he was smitten given his propensity to stammer … which I’ll consider success of a sort …

You need a new perspective, Keith.

    Breathe in, breathe out. Repeat.

Now: Embrace teh Cul de Canard. Hackles that actually float. Consider the CDC oiler puff. A one-wrap wonder. Cul-de-Cygne. All-but unobtainable, but soo sumptuous…

Oh, and as a penance, send me all of those foot-long Grizzly hackles. I will dispose of them in a most suitable way.

I suggest your wear that “do” around town. Specifically, (s)troll around the beauty parlors. Who knows, you may get a few grabs from the twenty-somethings.

    Catch, play(with) and release, baby!

As I actually turn sixty next week, I can tell you sixty is not the new forty, or even the new fifty-seven.

As Lewis Black said with such eloquence,

THAT’S WHY THEY ARE DIFFERENT F#(KING NUMBERS!!!

Nice Ed! Now go to the next level…Green eggs and ham. Who’s gonna complain?

Wannabe…60! Thats so old dust must come out of your mouth when you talk.

Yessir. Purchased a couple of them in the 1980’s and have never found their equal since. This one has a couple hundred thousand flies put through the jaws – and they are as firm and tight as they were when purchased. They are still made back east, I think the most expensive is about $160. I have an older article on that subject with the links to the source.

I was recently told of one of my fly patterns: “Mustache Rides chicks love them…Put that on a singles profile youl have um lined up..” . Just get creative with naming a few of your flies and you’ll be back in the saddle ol’ boy!
