So true! I always pick up all the trash I see on the river. You would think you can't make a difference, but actually I can pick up far more than the average visitor leaves and I am also way more often on the water.
Would be interested in seeing more building projects on here.

This is but the start of the project. I'd rather do something for the fish (and me) directly then send a check to some unknown fellow that may (or may not) help the fish.

It's not the only project I'm working on, just the one I think others might find interesting - given how they could do the same thing in their local waters. Whether it's cleaning crap out of the creek for trout, or adding crap into the creek for bass, anglers need to take an active role in their favorite fishing spots - the federal government and governing bodies that own the water could care less about fish.

I never heard of someone terraforming a lake for the fish. Really interesting idea. Is this it's final form or are you going to work any further on it?
Awesome catch by the way and the last few lines of text made me laugh. :D
Cheers!

Hadn't thought about that angle. I'd guess he's back in action far quicker than me (who is hobbling around wincing like GrandPappy Milsap).

Maybe I should refill my water bottle with lake effluent, that'll give an extra bounce to my step enroute to the car.

In recalling one of your previous articles; that bass is floating in a tide of Asprin, Acetaminophen, Levitra, Solarcaine, Ibuprofen, Fungi-nail, and a list of other curatives that water skiers won't admit to. Anything that large with that much fight is on steroids of a kind that would likely get an entire NFL team banned for proximity. Don't give a thought to the fish. In 10 minutes he's feelin jus FINE! However, only 1/4 of California is past the drought. So which part of California is your lake in?
