I was shocked to see that the annual license fee remained the same… the first time in years I can remember that being the case. It was still a welcome give from my lovely wife… indicating, at least, tacit approval of my obsessive pursuit of the fish in the mountains.

NJ licenses have remained the same but surrounding states have made it time to think about renewing out of state licenses. NY went from $45 to $70 and PA went from to $60 a couple of years ago. Seems NJ streams will be getting a bit more crowded and NY and PA will be losing some tourism money. Their loss our gain???

I was on the delta last week and asked 9 fisherman if they had bought thier new licenses…all 9 stated “NO” and we don’t have this years either.
