If my memory serves me well, this twisted process has been on the books in Europe since the  Dark Ages. Not only could crimes be committed against animals, they could commit them and SIN as well. It&#039;s been a long time since I covered this ground, but I guess that there&#039;s some truth in the Monty Python statement, &quot;Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!&quot;.</description>
