I’d be a little more circumspect…

If a product manufacturer were to throw a blogger under the bus to the FTC; it would most likely be someone with integrity, someone who perhaps gave said product(s) an honest but less than stellar review. Just a thought.

On the other hand, what’s your take on those new-fangled fly tying scissors anyway?

That is really fantastic advice.

I can’t imagine my life without (insert piece of gear here). It is a must have in any fishing situation. It makes you fish like a younger, more popular and better endowed person.

@Bjorn – it’s easy, start by polishing your repetoire of superlatives. Vendors are attracted to “three’s” – wherein the author precedes each noun with three complimentary terms…

Ex: Really awesome great rod, or lithe snappy cannon fly line, or sweet taut bulletproof vest..

Well, I have 11 rods, but I have fewer than 11 reels… so, if I want to go fishing with ALL of them at once, I can’t. Hence, I’ll have to try and get in on this rod/reel stuff via my bonefishing blog. How do I let gear makers know I am up for whoring? I’m sure I’ll have to put in a separate delivery entrance on the house once word gets out. You can also feel free to send me gear… or anyone reading this, or anyone you tell about giving me gear can also give me gear.

Well, I’d believe you but you are a freaking liar! There is NO WAY that is your left OR your right hand in the photo. Having read your blog for well over a year, I am smart enough to conclude that your hands would be far more muddier and ugly than those beautiful (female?) hands in the photo.
