They don't respond to anything I've thrown at them - and there's not enough of them to chase. I've got one pod at the bridge, one pod at the pond (that we saw) - and after six casts they're gone. The upper river has oodles of them, but that requires me to trespass. I'm unwilling to do so on a regular basis. Despite landing three carp so far, only one hookup was inside the mouth (implying the fish ate the fly) - the other two were "in the face" which could've been a foul hook in an area not considered foul. In short, I need water with plentiful Carp that actively feed. I don't see that in the areas I can legally fish. It doesn’t appear in the cards. They don’t respond to anything I’ve thrown at them – and there’s not enough of them to chase.
