That hackle slowed the descent just right – allowing me to drift it under the algae pads without burying it into the weeds below.

Great fly, thankfully the fish no less about entomology than we do.

In retrospect the presentation had nothing to do with it. I presented 6 really gracefully to that overhanging tree limb, and one tore free from the underbrush and yielded what I was supposed to have done. The rest caught fish.

Dang, suckered into reading another fishing blog when I was searching for a hooters bar. Boy, do we have a disjunct between definitions.

Sallah was no idiot, and as fictional characters go, my guess is he’d be fun to fish with, as long as there weren’t any camels to distract him.

Glad you had some luck with that fly, though I suspect credit should go to presentation, not pattern.

I’ve taken a few pictures that look similar to that one – not quite the artful grace as your has, though. Truly beautiful shot of the sun rays.

I flat out couldn’t hold the laughter back any longer when I reached your tale about the Hooter’s Bar. That was just too dang funny.

That second pic really puts the Underground’s fine photogs to shame, and my wading skills make me think I could be an expert at such. What f-stop was that?
