you obviously either love a challenge, or have a screw loose. I’d side with the latter.

There’s a fine line between fishing old school and fishing garbage; I think you crossed that line with those nasty old things you called flies.

This is brown-lining at its finest. Thanks for giving us all something to live up to. I tip my hat to you sir.

That sounds like something I’d tell my brother, along with “It’s an easy hike” (15 miles through poison oak), and “It holds some really nice fish” (It’s barren, save for the mosquitoes).

I’ve got dozens of those Big 5 flies – mostly gifts from people who don’t fish. I always keep one of those round containers in my vest. On those rare occasions when my brother asks, “What are they hitting?” I’ll toss it over to him and say, “Any of those should work. Go ahead and dial up a winner.”

I also like to give him some on his birthday. I usually get them back for Christmas.

Old School can be awesome, but you gotta believe.

Late Feb.this year, 8.5 ft 5 piece Fenwick Voyageur and Pflueger Medalist 1595 1/2 take on
28 inch Snook. I felt like Joe Brooks. It was my only fish all day.
