There are literally hundreds of damns that serve little or no purpose anymore. Most of which could be re engineered to allow fish to move through them freely. Except in the summer, right about dark, then it provides some fast action. Now if I can figure out how some of the really BIG suckers that lay in the deep holes can be caught, I'd be onto something. But since I am basically a lazy dry fly fisherman (all that nymphing and streamer stuff seems so complicated to figure out) I guess I am a prisoner of the upper part of the water column.
