Lighten up Francis! It’s okay to go somewhere other than a flyfishing magazine for a little humor with your fishin’ readin’. In fact sometimes it helps with the memory work! That is of course until you get started into the vodka vials. It’s all over then…….

Out of all the excuses I have heard for ignorance, this is the best one.
Fish a fly the color of the bottom the size of half grown bug (since most of them are probably half grown)using the action the insect displays trying to escape a 4 inch bowl. Sounds like you have been turned down by the fly fishing magazines.
Great advice for beginner but the title should have been: Take it from a real SOB – Learn to hide your ignorance about what trout eat using porn if you must.

A worm is nothing compared to an adult stonefly, which leads me to think we should private label our own “Singlebarbed Underground” tequilla, only using the much manlier stonefly (on the label as well as in the bottle).

We could market it as simply being much, much manlier than the other girlyman tequilas….

What’s even better is pounding the entire vial with bugs in it…if you are squeamish at the thought of the tequila worm, don’t try it.

Vials of vodka? That’s sheer genius! Let’s see, 100-proof would be a 50% alcohol solution, that should work just fine for both bug and angler pickling.
